The WT1 gene and Vidaza response
Hi All,
Several studies have showed that peripheral blood WT1 microRNA expression high patients will show inferior response rates when they are treated with Vidaza. Here is the latest one. https://ash.confex.com/ash/2013/webp...aper57110.html Kind regards Birgitta-A |

They recommend "alternative treatments" for such patients, but of course MDS patients don't have very many treatment choices.
Still, it's important to know any predictors that correlate with success or failure of a given treatment, so doctors and patients can decide on the "order of preference" of whatever treatment choices there are. |
