My BMT

Is it just me, or are there other people who have very practical struggles leading up to transplant... ?

My donor is from overseas and is currently being tested to make sure they are a really, really good match. (note that I only have one match) And everything from my end seems to be put on hold because I don't have enough support. God help me.

I guess my BMT isn't urgent right at this moment, but it is so difficult to have your life on hold! My Doc told me to not go out and get work as yet, because we hope to at least start transplant within 6 months. Maybe I should look at doing some study.

The only difficulty is that I have limited support. And I may need to move back to Brisbane, where I just moved from, to get support support from my Mum (who also caring for my Dad)...... but she is all I have.

What a mess. Maybe this is all a bad dream, and I'll wake up tomorrow and don't need a transplant.

Sorry for all the drama. Just want to forget all about this.

Jules, I just re-read your post and it sounds quite negative!

I think you need to work on being a bit more positive about this whole process in your life at the moment, or you will end up alone through this.

Work on the things that mean most to you at this point in time. And forget about those things that overwhelm you, until they need to be addressed. One thing at a time.
