Exjade side effects

Hi all,

I started taking Exjade 2 weeks ago for a ferritin level of 3000. Has anyone else experienced constant headaches? They started about 12 hrs after the first dose. Not extreme, but enough to take painkillers and I hate to add to my never-ending list of drugs!

Thanks in advance,

Polly x

First, make sure you are not dehydrated. You may need to up your fluid intake. John did not get headaches.....his problem was nausea. He would have to stop the Exjade for about week and then resume it once his nausea went away. With Exjade, you can stop it to see if the headaches go away and then restart again. Many symptoms don't come back when you restart therapy. If they do, then you may want to try a reduced dose.

Well, it hasn't gone away yet in however long I've been on exjade (almost 2 years), so I'm not holding my breath.

Exjade available....

I have 3 unopened bottles of 90 500mg pills that were for my father's MDS treatment. He passed away and I would like to give this expensive medicine to someone that can use it. If you are interested, please contact me. tcarnazza@comcast.net
