Internet Radio-Thon for the AA&MDSIF

On Wednesday, November 1st from 4:00pm - 7:00pm EST, the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation will host its first Internet Radio-Thon to raise money and awareness for bone marrow diseases and AA&MDSIF.

The program will include basic information about bone marrow failure diseases and clinical trials as well interviews with patients, doctors, and Foundation President Marilyn Baker and Board Chairman Neil Horikoshi.

A special feature will be an interview with Robin Grapa and Patty Laatsch, who have just completed their cross-country hike. Their 9-month journey combined a celebration of Robin's recovery from aplastic anemia with an effort to raise awareness about bone marrow diseases and funds for the AA&MDSIF.

The Radio-Thon is just about to start.

If you have a fast Internet connection, you can listen to the show live over the Internet by going to the Internet Voices Radio web page, clicking Daily Information at the left, and then clicking on "Click Here to Start Stream". You may need to download audio playback software. If so, it will tell you.

After the show, a Podcast will be available, and we'll post details about how to get it.

The Radio-Thon program can be re-played over the Internet on the Radio-Thon page at the Internet Voices Radio website. To start the playback, click the triangle-shaped "play" button.

You can also download the audio files from the same web page or by using these links:
Part 1 (first 2 hours, 26 megabytes)

Part 2 (last 45 minutes, 10 megabytes)
You may be able to download them by clicking or you may need to right-click and use a menu choce such as Save Target As or Download Linked File.

Each file is an MPEG audio file, more commonly known as an mp3. After downloading the files, you can play them back on your computer with the audio software you use for music, or even copy them to a portable MP3 player (Apple iPod, Sony Walkman, etc.).

If you have questions about the broadcast or how to listen to it, reply to this thread and ask!
