Ex. of Autologous Cord Blood Transplant for AA

Found an interesting article about a boy in CA who was given a cord blood transplant using his own cord blood for treatment of his AA.

Gets me thinking again about the stored cord blood we have for our son who has moderate AA and is currently not requiring treatment and how lucky we may be to have it, although it has been stored for 14 years.

It also makes you wonder whether to donate cord blood to a cord blood bank, for use by anyone who matches it, or whether to save it for the baby's possible future use.
