Talking Mylodyplastic Syndromes

Hello my good people. No matter what happens, never ever give up hope. I've been living with MDS for the past 12 years on blood transfusions and Neupogen injections. I was exposed to benzene in the work place back in 1993 or 1996 never knew I had it until 1999. It was one big shock! I have been receiving treatment since then. So keep on fighting. God bless us all.

Hi Jerry.

You set a nice example of survivorship. Thanks for the positive message.

Since it can take a while for MDS to be diagnosed, perhaps you actually had MDS for as long as 15 or 16 years.

Jerry;
Like Neil said - thanks for the positive words about survivorship. I only wish my husband has that many more. And since he was on Coumadin for many years - with benzene being one of the properties in it - he got 'dosed' without even knowing it.
Take care - and keep up the positive attitude attitude.

Beth
