MDS and metals level
My hematologist at my Mayo visit ordered metals tests on blood and urine. She said that she had a couple of patients who had initially been diagnosed with MDS and were found to have low copper and high zinc. Anyone heard of this issue? She also had other heavy metals done.

Here's an article by a doctor at the Mayo about copper deficiency and hematological problems. My husband's hematologist consulted with the Mayo in Rochester because of my husband's copper deficiency, and and I believe Chirley's hematologist also consulted with them. So while having that situation is not good, you are in a good place to be treated for it.
