Allergy meds?
Any recommendations on allergy meds?
A little more tricky picking one bc my husband is currently on 7 medications! His Dr said Benadryl (great for night) or another older one my husband can't remember. His Dr said the newer ones have an ingredient that is not good to take w cyclosporine. Any advise? Thx

Hi Heather! My son would do saline nasal flushes with a Nettie Pot. I also bought him Homeopathic Hay-fever tabs. They're all natural (Hyland's). This seemed to help him a lot.

Hi - I took Claritin with cyclosporine. I'm not sure if it would interact with the other drugs that your husband is taking.

Update I just showed him your post about your son using the Nettie pot and he decided to try it!
I think bc he had never seen or heard of one before last week he was skeptical. Hopeful, thanks for sharing I wonder if it is a specific type of Claritin (like D?) but his Dr said no Claritin, Zyrtec,... Bc it would mess w cyclosporine levels? I saw on the warnings it was hard on kidney and liver so maybe bc the cyclo already is... I will find out this Monday and fill yall in Thx!

Hi Heather,
I took the non-drowsy Claritin, with the active ingredient loratadine. It is not listed as interacting with cyclosporine. However, as you pointed out, it is another burden on the liver and kidneys.
