Bone Marrow Match Results from Los Angeles Hope, Steps & A Cure

Hope, Steps & A Cure is primarily a fundraising and awareness event, but in Los Angeles the event always includes a Be The Match bone marrow drive, signing up dozens of new registrants who each have the potential to help a patient in need of a lifesaving transplant.

The April 2013 Los Angeles Hope, Steps & A Cure bone marrow drive paid off in a fantastic way:
One of the people who registered for the bone marrow registry was matched to a patient for a transplant!
Imagine having your cheek swabbed, filling out a simple form, and saving a life as a result! You rarely see results like this so quickly, but it reinforces the importance of getting more and more Americans to join the U.S. National Registry and for people in other countries to join their national registry.

To sign up for the U.S. registry, visit the Be The Match website.
