Hello!
I want to say, first of all, that I do not have a disease that requires a bone marrow transplant. What I am is a friend and colleague of someone who has aplastic anemia and did have a transplant.
A former member of the Air Force, Ken had to leave the military while battling his disease. Luckily his work is that of a filmmaker and he continues to work for the Air Force making recruiting films so still has a livelihood. He's passionate both about his life changing experience and about his work making films.
Ken is now wanting to produce a short film that will help bring attention to the need for bone marrow donors. He's written a beautiful multicultural story that could help to save lives, but he needs funding to get his film made. His campaign is on Kickstarter, which is an all or nothing crowd funding mechanism. That means donors will only be charged if the full amount he needs is pledged. He's halfway through the campaign and has gotten half the amount he needs pledged.
Someone in this forum could benefit from Ken's film if he can get it made. If everyone reading this pledged just $10, he can make it happen!
You can read more about Ken and his film at the link below. I thank you so much for reading this and may God bless!
