Question Vidaza Schedule

The hospital where I am being treated for MDS uses a dosing schedule of 5–2–2, in which patients receive Vidaza daily for 5 days, followed by 2 days of no treatment (during a weekend), and then 2 more treatment days. Has anyone been treated using this schedule?

Also, when they talk about a 28 day cycle, do you take the Vidaza for 7 days and then don't take it for 28 days or do you take it for 7 days and then off of it for 21 (to make up the 28 day cycle).

Thanks

Data

I was on the same schedule as you because the infusion center was closed on the weekends. I took it for 5/2 days and was then off for 21 days.

Tracy,
Thanks. That is probably what my hospital will do - if I opt for that treatment. Big "IF" right now!

Thanks!!!!!!
