Talking Finally, passed my blood test, surgery Friday

What a relief to be able to report that my platelets have dropped from 892,000 to 426,000. The Dr. says what finally made the difference was the 150mg of iron 2x's daily. Regardless of what did it, I am finally able to start killing the breast cancer. They are going to go in and 'tidy up' the tumor site and biopsy a lymph node. Should it prove 'all clear' I will go home that evening. That is the outcome I am visualizing. I am invited to Christmas dinner with the neighbor and his family. I have bought lots of books for their children. My Friend Flicka, Call of the Wild, Kidnapped - lot's of classics. Also, giving them a chess set. I understand the boys are playing it in their new school.

I hope everyone on this forum has as nice a Christmas as they can with everything we all are going through, remember, we are not our disease.

I am also happy to report that a nightly glass of egg nog has done more for me then cartons of Ensure. I have gained a little weight. 5.2 pounds! I am going to have to learn how to make that so I can have it year round.

Kind regards,
White-Stone
