Transplant-Day 22

Wow, made it it to day Day22 without major issues. Some early-on issues with nausea that passed fairly soon. I have had a terrible case of mucusitis-mouth and throat that is finally just about gone .Fully engrafted a couple days back, my current abs neut is ,777 and WBC is 1.0, with those numbers climbing every day. My current issue is low platelets with nose and mouth bleeds, but I feel that will wane as my counts continue to improve. I has 17 days in the hospital with these various side effects but feel great about the engraftment. I feel like I am heading into the recovery stage at last.....

akmegehee,

This is great news. Hitting a WBC of 1 is a significant milestone. Keep up the great work!

I hope pain medication helped with the mucositis. That was the worst symptom for my wife.
