Purtier Placenta

Hi

Has anyone heard of Purtier Placenta I have come across someone and he says that taking it for 3 months can help in overcoming MDS to a great extent. Have anyone tried or heard about the same. My mother is suffering from MDS.

Hi Ritu,

I've not heard of it before. I googled it and one site says that it is "the Rolls Royce" of supplements. Other sites referred to purtier placenta as a scam. I hate to see you taken advantage of, and who knows how much it actually did for your friend's hematological status. Truthfully, to my knowledge, the only cure for MDS is a stem cell transplant. Vitamins, supplements, and just good healthy eating can improve well being, but will not take away the disease. There are medications that have proven to add years to survival, like Vidaza and Decitabine, and there are numerous others in trials right now. We just have to hang on, utilize proven treatments for now, and try to maintain a positive attitude too! A tall order I know when your loved one is affected.

All my best,
Mags
