Question BP all over the place during chemo

Has anyone else experienced wide swings in BP readings during their Vidaza treatment? My systolic goes up to the 180/s then down into the 80/s. I'm quite symptomatic during the highs and lows, especially the lows. A chemo nurse has said that's not the norm, and my GP is trying to monitor and adjust during that week and a half.:

I don't have any experience with chemo but the first thing that comes to mind is if you're getting dehydrated for periods from the side effects of the chemo (if any)?

My BP drops very low when I'm dehydrated. They can't even get blood for my weekly CBC, and sometimes I can't even stand up, or sit, I have to lie down.

My oncologist has me drinking sugar-free sports drinks now rather than water, which just runs right through me, no matter how much I drink and does not alleviate the dehydration. My BP would be in the low 90s/high 40s.

Thank you

Thank you for responding, Joanne. And yes, I definitely have been dehydrated. Those Gater-Aid-type drinks are helping me, too. Thank you.

This is happening to my mom right now, she drinks tons of water. Did you figure out what was causing it?
