how common is fever
Welp after my last message the pain has been much diminished (and he's not even taking the pills)

fluctuating temperature now its 98.9

It's not usually considered a fever until the temp is 100.5 or higher. If it rises to that level, then they will check for infections and do blood cultures. Temps will fluctuate.

ya it rose again last night that what they are doing, I've looked up and it seems to be a normal happening during this procedure I was just hoping to get some first hand experience from people on this site
