New "Story of Hope" Features Forum Member Karen Woys
Karen Woys, a member of the Marrowforums community since March 2010, is featured in a new Story of Hope on the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation website:
Karen Woys - High Hopes Fulfilled for MDS SurvivorKaren, known in the forums as mausmish, has been a regular Marrowforums participant since she joined the site seeking information after her MDS-RAEB-2 diagnosis in January 2010. She recovered from MDS after treatment with Vidaza and a bone marrow transplant from a matched unrelated donor located through the National Marrow Donor Program. Karen has made hundreds of posts at Marrowforums and writes a blog at mausmarrow.com. Her positive outlook and sense of humor have served her well, and she has paid back the online community for the help she received with her continued support for other patients and willingness to share her experiences for the benefit of other patients and their families. Please join us in congratulating Karen and her husband Michael for her recovery and thanking Karen for her support for the patient community. |
