Slipping out of remission?

Hi all - Kaleigh has been ill - ran a fever for 13 days. Dx'd with pneumonia. I had her counts redone and her platelets dropped 25 points (now 108) in less than two weeks with her retic count now 0.8. Her wbc was normal but shouldn't have been with her being ill. So now I ask anyone else's child's counts drop during illness then bounce back once they were well? Can I get this knot out of my stomach that she's relapsing and stop bracing myself for the worst?

I talked to you briefly last night but thought I would respond here as well. Even after Michelle had her BMT and was "cured" she had a few times when her numbers dropped. It made my heart stop each time but the dr's were never worried and sure enough they always came back up. I hope Kayleigh is the same and all her counts will have gone up at her next CBC.

Keep us posted!
Suzanne

Her counts are back up. I don't know if its just her immune system or if its all the supplements I started her on. Her platelets are almost normal!!!!!!!!! The highest they have been since her dx!!!! Anyways - sorry for the panic!! She's been sick before - fifths disease even and her numbers didn't plummet like this! Whew! Over that hurdle!
