Question
We went to mom's hemotologist today to get results on her BMB. He didn't have all the information in as of yet, was waiting on genetics. At anyrate, her blasts were 5% 3 months ago when she had a BMB and they are now at 8%. If I am correct that would now make her RA, RAEB? My question is once the blasts go up is there anyway to get them back down or is she on the road to something worse? Her hemotologist is sending her to someone else for his opinion on Thursday. I also have an appointment for her to see a MDS doctor of excellent on July 25.

Yes, the excess blasts can be reduced!
There are several meds available. Mine went from 11% to 3% recently on Vidaza with Enbrel (a trial). Many others have long periods of success or even remission.
