Registration Opens for AA&MDSIF 2009 Patient & Family Conference

The Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AA&MDSIF) 2009 Patient & Family Conference is now open for registration. You can register online or by calling the Foundation at (301) 279-7202, option "3".

Registration is free for those who register by Tuesday June 5, 2009, and book their rooms directly through the hotel. When making hotel reservations, mention that you are attending the AA&MDSIF conference (see codes below) to get the special conference rate. Conference meals are included in registration.

Featured speakers and the daily schedule can be viewed on the AA&MDSIF Conference Agenda page.

In addition to general sessions, breakout sessions, and workshops, this year there will also be:
  • For Kids Only - a children’s workshop for pediatric patients, their siblings, and children of patients.
  • Online Learning Lab - a series of short informational sessions on using the Internet to find information and connect with other patients and their families.
  • Survivors Celebration - recognizing those who are living with and living beyond bone marrow failure diseases.
Marrowforums will be there too!

We encourage all patients to attend this year's conference with their family members, listen to experts, ask questions, learn all you can, and meet other patients who share your concerns.

Conference dates:
Friday, July 10, 2009 (1pm-9pm): Pre-conference sessions, Online Learning Lab and reception
Saturday, July 11, 2009 (8am-8pm): Patient & Family Conference

The deadline for free Patient Conference registration and the $149 hotel rate has been extended to June 24. If you stay at the conference hotel, your conference registration and all meals and conference materials will be free.

For more information, visit the Indianapolis conference page or phone the AA&MDSIF at 800-747-2820. You can also display or download a Patient Conference flyer (PDF, 196K).

To register for the Patient Conference, use the online registration system. For hotel reservations, call the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown and mention the AA&MDS Conference to get the conference rate.
