signs of progression?

My husband has been having a lot of memory issues lately (he is 59). Quite alarming actually. I'm wondering if this could be related to MDS or transformation to AML or something?

He has also been having frequent diarrhea.

Hi BW, at first thought I would say that a very low Hb could maybe cause memory issues/foggy brain etc., but your signature says his reds are normal. It sounds like he might be due for a thorough check-up by his PCP. Diarrhea can be caused by many issues. Other diseases can surface as we age that are completely unrelated to MDS. It could be something simple that is easily treated. Could be related to some of his medications or MDS treatment. Encourage him to get checked out, and good luck.
