The 2nd annual Houston 2015 Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk and Frontier Fiesta 5K for the Brave, and Brave Little Soles, a fundraising and awareness event to benefit the AA&MDSIF, will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Frontier Fiesta on the central campus of the University of Houston, on Cullen Blvd. across from Cougar Place.

The event is being held in collaboration with Frontier Fiesta and University of Houston. It will be a day of fun, raising awareness, and connecting with fellow patients and families.

The event will include:
  • Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk
  • Frontier Fiesta 5K Run
  • Brave Little Soles, a fun kids' run in the green space around the event activities.
  • Group photo like the one above

  • Awards
  • Inspirational guest speakers
  • Moment of Remembrance
  • Lunch with wristband purchase
You are invited to register for the event and/or donate to the fundraiser, and to help spread the word about this annual fundraiser. 100% of all donations go directly to the AA&MDSIF.

This year's Walk is dedicated to Linda Kemper, Coordinator for the Houston Community of Hope and 2014 Volunteer Coordinator.

Information

We'll be walking through an on-campus park-like environment.

Walk registration begins at 8:30am. The Walk begins at 9:45am. Walkers can choose either the 1-mile or 2-mile route.

5K registration begins at 8:00am. The 5K Run begins at 9:30am.

The registration fee is $25 per person for the Walk and $30 for the 5K Run, with discounts for students and kids.

Virtual Walkers (supporters who won't be at the event) are the same price.

Each Walker and Virtual Walker is encouraged to set a personal fundraising goal and invite friends and family members to sponsor you online.

There is still time to register for this event; or become a "virtual" walker; or support a walker or team (even a dollar is good).

If you know a runner, tell them about it. There is even a run for little kids (Brave Little Soles)

Stick around for the Frontier Fiesta to relive your college years.
