High Blood Pressure - which medicine???
I'm Ana Paula Espada from Portugal.
My husband is doing well regarding CBC - all values above minim except Platelets that has been a little lower but without falling (142-145) His CyA is 160 mg/day (80+80). Creatinine values are normal. Since November his blood pressure has been raising - diastolic never lower than 100 or 110 while sistolic is around 140-150. At last my husband talked to his doctor at Porto (he didn't want to take more medication). Since we live far away from Porto, his doctor there told my husband to have an appointment with the Dr. Here... This last doctor "didn't find" a blood pressure medication that didn't interact with CyA (I'm quoting him). Then he prescribed Indapamida which I find in a group of medication that is described as been associated with Aplastic Anemia. That's why I need your help since we need an opinion about not only this medication but what can be the most secure blood pressure medication to my husband. Thank you very much in advance

Your dr is correct in his concern over what BP medicing to give. I am not a medical provider but an AA patient. I am on Atenolol and have been for about 8 months. It also reduces pulse rate so they put me on a second BP medicine, the generic for norvask. Unfortunately it made my ankles swell significantly. Good luck!

Thank you
Thank you very much for your answers, Geyra Ortiz, Heather8773 and ssdavi71416. Now I know that there are other patients on High BP medicine and my husband's doctor at Porto will find the medication or I'd book a consultation with a cardiologist. Wishing you all the best. Again, Thank You!

I just saw Dr. Maciejewski on Wednesday.
I hope to be able to get off cyclosporine soon. I have been on Norvasc for BP since the start of it, and he things I will be able to get off of it.
