Dacogen info seen on NOVA
Hi everyone, I did not see the program but my sis did. It was on PBS early Oct. and called "A Ghost in your genes" Dr. Jean Pierre Issa from M.D. Anderson Cancer center is quoted. I went to pbs .org and was able to download some of the info. It is about epigenetic therapy which decitabine apparently is. I think this info can be extremely helpful. Hope this helps.

You can read some of the information from "Ghost in Your Genes" at this NOVA page. They have questions and answers, clips from the show, and slideshow presentations. Most important for us is the Epigenetic Therapy page, where Dr. Issa discusses research on MDS treatment.
Anyone interesting in the NOVA show itself can pre-order a DVD of "Ghost in Your Genes" for $25. The DVD will be out in January 2008 and is sold by the Public Video Store of Boston's WGBH public television station. |
