The MDS Beacon: Researchers Develop New MDS Classification System Based On Chromosomal Abnormalities by Jessica Langholtz and Maike Haehle European researchers recently developed a new prognostic scoring system based on chromosomal abnormalities for myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukemia patients. Compared with the current prognostic system, the new system changed the risk group for 13 percent of patients (6 percent to more favorable and 7 percent to less favorable groups).
