Houston 2016 Frontier Fiesta and March for Marrow 5K & Walk, March 26, 2016
 The 3rd annual Houston 2016 Frontier Fiesta and March for Marrow 5K & Walk, a fundraising and awareness event to benefit the AA&MDSIF, will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the University of Houston central campus in Houston, TX. It will be a day of fun connecting with fellow patients and families. March for Marrow was previously known as Hope, Steps & A Cure. The event will include:
Information Walkers can choose either the 1-mile or 2-mile route. Onsite registration begins at 8:00am for the Walk and for the 5K Run. The 5K Run starts at 9:30am. The program and Walk will begin at 9:45am. You can pick up packets ahead of time on March 24 or 25. Frontier Fiesta festivities are from noon to 9:00pm. The registration fee is $25 per person for the Walk and/or $30 for the 5K Run. Virtual Walkers (supporters who won't be at the event) are the same price: $25. Kids 12 and students have discounted prices. Each Walker and Virtual Walker is encouraged to set a personal fundraising goal and invite friends and family members to sponsor you online. We have $22,785 raised so far. Our goal is $35,000.
We have 20 teams and 174 walkers, so far. Plus an unknown number of 5k runners. You are all still invited to walk or donate. This event is building momentum each year because our relationship with a popular student event. We are their official charity.

We now have 19 major sponsors, 21 walking teams with 251 walkers and an unknown number of 5k runners.
We have raised $26,500 toward our goal of $35,000. It is not too late to contribute to a team or participant.
