Smile mds - blast have dropped!!!!!!!

My husband was diagnosed with MDS IN Oct. 2008, he has been on dacogen. He has taken 66 treatements. The Doctor did a bone marrow test and his blast have gone from 10 to 2, this is wonderful! Though his platetes are still low the dr. thinks this may be his being sick and on antibodics for several weeks. We are so happy to hear this good news just wanted to share it. Hope it helps anyone that is on this theraphy. He has taken 5 days of chemo then off for 3 weeks, at one time he was off for six weeks.

Mollie & Dean

Congratulations to both of you! Dean's dacogen treatment certainly took its time, didn't it?

The last time we heard from you was last March when things were looking up after a slow start on dacogen. It's sure nice to hear that Dean's progress continued.
