looking for answers with zoloft and platelets

My 12 year old is on zoloft, the hospital put her on it a few months ago, this week her child psch. says zoloft can promote bleeding by attacking platelets? But, she is going to do more research, she wasn't sure about the full effects and said there are recently published articles? Does any one know about this? She is getting tranfused several times a weeks as is, bleeds out nose and gums non-stop. She is classified as very several aplastic anemia. Been thru one round of ATG and is having another bone marrow biospy in Oct. They want to swicth her anti-depressant to welbutrin, not sure if they have a clue!

Zoloft

Take a look at the "post-marketing" events listed about half way down of the Side Effects sections. You can also look up the other med your doc wants to switch her to.
