Romiplostin vs Eltrombopag

Hello, my Hemotologist/Oncologist is looking into trying out a platelet growth factor for my AA. I know of 2 available, Romiplostin & Eltrombopag. Thoughts on one versus the other for AA?

(marrow reports and blood tests do not show any signs of MDS)

Thank you,

Hi Dena,
I don't know anything about Romiplostin - but please see my thread under Clinical Trials for Promacta. I won't go into detail now as you can read about my husband's improved platelet count with Eltrombopag (Promacta) there. What I can tell you is the reason the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. decided to do clinical studies with MDS patients was due to the success they had with Promacta and their AA patients. It not only helped their platelets but improved red cells as well - as it did with my husband.
Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any help - either here or via e-mail - shcalvert3@aol.com.
I wish you well.
God Bless,
Sally
