Pets at home after transplant?
Greetings,
We are about to embark on the non-myeloblative transplant journey in a few weeks. We have to move to Stanford area which is 3 hours away, so have to find someone to stay in the house the 4 months they want my husband to be near the Medical Center. We were told by the doctor to leave pets at home, but the clinic nurse wasn't quite as adamant. We are wondering if anyone takes a pet with them? Our pets are part of the family and if we leave them for the entire time, it will be like introducing new pets--which we were told not to do. We were hoping to take my husband's little buddy a month or so after the transplant to help him heal. Does anyone have any experience in this area? Thanks for your help. Pat
