Thyroids Meds?

I was just wondering if anyone else had ever heard of thyroid medicines being a trigger for AA? My mom is in the hospital getting ATG for AA right now. I have been researching a lot and came across an article that said Synthroid (thyroid med) could potentially cause AA. If this is true, I'm wondering why she wasn't told about this and why they still have her on it. She has Hyperthyroidism. Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi, I don't know about the meds but I think some thyroid problems are autoimmune so that could be a link too.
