BMB 1 Month post transplant question

I got my BMB report and I don't know what to think of it. On one hand it says No molecular evidence of residual host pre-transplantation cells is detectable, but host alleles are 12 to 32%.

My ANC went from 0 to 3.2, WBC went from 0 to 4.1 the highest they have been since a year before I was diagnosed with MDS. Hemoglobin from 7.8 to 11.4, and platelets from 11 to 57, had been as high as 75. These numbers seem encouraging.

Ray

INTERPRETATION:
Donor cells constitute approximately 68% of the cell population in the
CD3-enriched cell fraction, approximately 75% of the cell population in the
CD33-enriched fraction and approximately 88% of the CD56-enriched fraction of
the peripheral blood specimen from 07-30-14.
CHIMERISM MULTISPEC RESULTS:
Donor Alleles Host Alleles
Specimen: CD3 fraction Detected (Approx 68%) Detected (Approx 32%)
Specimen: CD33 fraction Detected (Approx 75%) Detected (Approx 25%)
Specimen: CD56 fraction Detected (Approx 88%) Detected (Approx 12%)
INFORM: The STR markers are informative for
both the pre-BMT host and donor
genomic DNA and can be used to monitor
bone marrow transplant engraftment.
NONINFOR: The STR markers would not be useful
for monitoring bone marrow transplant
engraftment.
NOMOLEC: No molecular evidence of residual host
pre-transplantation cells is detectable
by PCR in this specimen.

rar,

Obviously it shows chimerism of 68%/32% (Donor/your old cells), which at 30 days may not be bad in itself, but interpretation of the results really should be left to your doctor to explain to you..

Wishing you only the Best, and speedy 100% engraftment... May God Bless us ALL!!!

Great to see you post Ray. How are you feeling??. Your counts look great.
Your Doc will know how to interpret it. I see 3 different stains with one showing 88% donor.
Specimen: CD3 fraction Detected (Approx 68%) Detected (Approx 32%)
Specimen: CD33 fraction Detected (Approx 75%) Detected (Approx 25%)
Specimen: CD56 fraction Detected (Approx 88%) Detected (Approx 12%)
But more importantly:

NOMOLEC: No molecular evidence of residual host
pre-transplantation cells is detectable.
