Traveling with blood products internationally

I am wondering whether anyone has had any success in actually traveling internationally with platelets and red blood cells?

I live in the Cayman Islands and the blood products are not of the quality that they are in the States. This concerns me if it transpires that I need a BMT.

Any advice regarding air travel with blood products or any helpful contacts would be greatly appreciated. We have reached out to American Red Cross and are awaiting a response.
