Question Is there a way to get an e-mail when

Is there a way to get an e-mail when a particular user posts something in any thread? There are some users who continually have intelligent thought posts that I would like to read.

No, the forum system has no "follow" feature. It would be useful since there are a number of helpful, well-informed forum members worth following.

One workaround you could use is to create web browser bookmarks (favorites) of the form
http://forums.marrowforums.org/search.php?do=finduser&u=NNN
where NNN is a user's member number. You can see someone's member number by clicking on their name and looking at the end of the URL of their profile page.

For example, your profile page is
http://forums.marrowforums.org/member.php?u=5126
so the bookmark
http://forums.marrowforums.org/search.php?do=finduser&u=5126
will retrieve your posts, with the most recent posts first. This won't alert you to their new posts, but it'll make it easy for you to check for their most recent posts now and then.
