AA and MDS some clarification?

I had a BMB on Monday and spoke with the pathologist today about my results. Good news, my cellular count went up to 40%, it was 30% in April. I asked him if someone could have both AA and MDS. He said yes someone can have both, it is not very common but someone can have both characteristis. So I guess someone can. I will double clarify with my hemotologist on my next appointment. Clear as mud right?

Yes I did actually!! I wrote to Dr Sloand from the NIH and she replied, I did try to copy and paste but I can't figure it out. Anyway MDS and AA are two separate diseases but have a lot of the same characterists so can be hard to distinguish.

So I did get some clarification thank you for asking!!
