Day 104 Update

Hi all -

i got my 90 day BMB results - donor 99+% - no disease or cytogenetic abnormalities - everyone pretty happy.

My platelets and Hgb remain problematic and I needed transfusions of both yesterday. WBC and ANC normal - Dr. thinks the GVHD may be consuming platelets and it otherwise may just take a long time for me for whatever reasons -

Retuxan seems to be working and my GVHD has improved markedly - going from Grade 3 to Grade 1 and fading - their tapering my prednisone, which I'm very happy about.

All in all feeling pretty good - and very grateful for my donor, health care team, family and friends - also thankful for all the support and great advice I've received from this forum.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Paul

A great way to end the year, Paul!

It's tricky tapering prednisone at just the right pace. I hope a slow and steady decrease will go well, and help your counts rise.
