How to heal a sore in mouth?

Hi my husband accidentally bit inside his cheek and bc it swelled a little bit it again.
Any tips to help it heal? Low immune system is taking awhile to heal and I don't want it to become infected

Try using warm salt water a mouth rinse 3 or 4 times a day. It's hard not to keep re-biting it.

Ask your doctor about "magic" mouthwash. They should be able to call in to your pharmasist. They have different solutions that are named magic mouthwash but the hematologist probably has one that they prefer and/or is most appropriate.

Pure (unheated, untreated) honey is very soothing and healing for mouth ulcers. Pure organic coconut oil is also excellent (see http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org...%20pulling.htm).

Hope this helps!

Glad to be of help - please let me know how you got on. I use coconut oil on my skin too - it's easier to apply if you moisten your hands and skin first.

No raw honey

Hi, as it looks like your husband is still on Immunosuppression medications, he should not have any raw or untreated honey. This is definitely on the Do Not Eat list because of a small chance of botulism ( same reasons infants can't have raw honey)

Saline rinses, as mentioned before are good to do. Coconut milk is also soothing for mouth discomfort.

Best, Dena
