I am considering becoming a donor, is there any advice I could get?

Here is an FAQ about joining the Irish Unrelated Bone Marrow Registry. You don't get paid for joining the registry but if you are found to match a patient and you donate bone marrow, or more likely stem cells, they will pay for any expenses to you and even for some loss of earnings.

Most people who register for the IUBMR won't get called upon to donate, but those who do have the chance to save someone's life.
