Day 100 post transplant

Well the first major milestone is now passed. I have made it and on Monday we shall see if it worked. They will be drilling my hip. Is funny they said I am the first person who volunteered to do it early. I told them I wanted too so we could get me off the cyclosporine and other meds.

I still have the BK virus and it is no fun at all... But this too shall pass... But I will be talking to the Dr on Monday about a plan C for the virus because it is getting really old... But for now I am trecking to the 6 month date... I really want a beer or 8 I tell you...

Cam: CONGRATULATIONS! You made it to day 100!!! My day 100 was the last time I was "drilled in the butt"! Let us know how it turns out. I hope you are feeling better and that the virus goes away. You are doing quite well! Lori

Today I got my Bone Marrow Biopsy.. Pray it all comes out clean... The Dr also lowered my cyclosporine so hopefully that will let my body fight this virus... I am tired of it, if you have not heard of the BK virus you definitely do not want it...

How do you know you beat MDS? My dad had a BMT a yr. ago and still gets testing every month and says he will do it for the rest of his life. Any insight for me?
