Question about everyone that has gone through a BMT /SCT

Hi All ,
Just a question on what + day everyone was on when they started to see good Lab results come back and start to stay ?

I feel like my daughter right now is still on a roller coaster ride .

Sue,

My wife got her first new white cells on Day +17. Her white count reached 4.0 on Day +29. Her platelets didn't reach 50 until Day +97.

Unlike Amy, my wife couldn't eat anything for the first 3 weeks after her transplant.

I was measuring my progress by transfusions and ANC. I was transfusion free at about day + 17, and was over 1500 ANC by about day +35 or +40 if I recall correctly. I have remained transfusion independent, but my numbers (platelets and WBC in particular) still jump around quite a bit, partially due to the ongoing treatment with Vidaza.

Naturally, everyone is different. On Day 13 my WBC jumped to 9.91, RBC to 3.53 and platelets to 65. On Day 24, WBC at 8.0, RBC at 3.93 and platelets at 196. By Day 75 the counts have stayed close to WBC at 6.3, RBC at 3.94 and platelets at 173. Counts have remained stable from about Day 24 until Day 75.
