Danazol
I have been reading some threads on Danazol which appears to help increase red cells and/or platelets. Is this correct? Those out there who are on Danazol, have you excess blast cells and or chromosome abnormalities. Just wondering if its worth questioning Pauls haemotologist about on his next visit. Pauls has low blast cells, but chromosome abnormalities -7, +8 (these factors appear to be a strong indication of the treatments available). Currently using EPO and G-CSF which has helped his neutrophils increase from 0.35 to 4.32. HGL still continues to decline sitting at 94 and platelets at 24. Comments from the wealth of knowledge out there would be appreciated.

I've been on Danazol for about three years. It took six or nine months to kick in, but my red cells have been slowly increasing since then.
