Revlimid not holding up counts

I have been on Revlimid for about 9 months. My counts went way up. Now they are drifting down even with weekly procrit shot.
Has anyone else had this happen.

Garbs,

Sorry I can't help much, I am still just on Aranesp--hope to stay there for a long time. How much are they drifting though? Is it all your counts? How is your hgb? Numbers might help people answer. I know my counts have dropped with the Aranesp. I haven't been able to get above 11 for a couple months now. I wonder if some of these drugs take us up, then level off. I do know the nurse who gives me my injections told me that with Aranesp and Procrit counts can jump around a lot. I wonder if that is true for Revlimid.

Zoe

Thank you for responding

I know the other drugs jump around, but most drs. say that once you've started with Revlimid and it settles on a number it pretty much stays there. That's why I was wondering if others have had it drift down.

Revlimid not holding counts

Hello Garbs

I have just read your post and wondered how you were progressing now. did your counts stabalise? were your red cells the only line affected?

I cannot offer any andvice as Revlimid seems to be stopping working for my husband after being Tx free for 4 mths. We knew this might happen as his 5q- deffect did not disappear. His Gb is going down slowly and we are trying to guess if he will last through the holiday season without needing a Tx.

He is taking 5mg and it would seem logical to increase the dose back to 10mg but as we are in Australia and as it is only available under restricted trial conditions that is not possible.

I hope you are ok

Helen
