Cancer Insurance Policies should pay for MDS Treatment
One of my Doctors has written a letter stating that MDS is a type of Cancer. I have now been able to file claims with my Cancer Insurance Company. I have not received any money yet, but expect to soon. I was diag. 2/07 but have just been told that MDS is indeed a type of Cancer. I filed all the way back to 2/07. Hope this helps some of you MDS patients.

Cancer Police
We are in the same boat as you are. My current cancer policy is callind MDS a precursor to Acute Leukemia but not a cancer, and have gotten zero dollars. My husband was diagnoised in 2007 with MDS, we will be going to MD Anderson in HOuston next week due to the fact his current doctor says a Stem Cell Transplantation is now necessary
