Finished 2nd ATG on Friday
i got out of hospital on Friday after my 2nd course of ATG!
Everything went pretty smoothly, only had some non itchy hives for the first 2 days. Although, I feel very tired and not really sure what to do with myself! Hopefully it wont be too long before im able to do general things without being exhausted. My current blood counts are: HgB: 9.9 WBC: 1.10 Platelets: 52 I had a blood and platelet transfusion whilst i was in hospital so my counts are a little higher. Hoping I make a quick recovery :0

Thanks for sharing news about your good progress.
Don't think you aren't doing anything. You're healing, and that takes quite a bit of energy! |

Hi
Usually, ATG is given by IV for 8-12 hours a day, for 4 days. The schedule depends on your needs, the type of ATG used, and the methods of your doctor or hospital. No one schedule has been shown to be better than another. If it works, ATG usually stops the need for transfusions within 3 months. Full success can take at least nine months. Keep Strong!
