This year's Walk Star is Ron Duncan, a survivor of Pure Red Cell Aplasia (PRCA), an exceptionally rare bone marrow failure disease. Ron was diagnosed in 2005 during a routine blood donation.

Leigh Clark from the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation referred Ron to Dr. Jaroslaw Maciejewskip at the Cleveland Clinic. Under the care of Dr. Maciejewski, Ron has been off all drugs since 2015 and has helped with March for Marrow since 2011.
