MDS awareness . . . A Gifted Man

Anyone watch "A Gifted Man" last night? One of the cases was a man who got diagnosed with MDS . . . secondary to lymphoma, intermediate 2. I assume the story line is in conjunction with AA/MDS awareness week coming up and that it will continue next week, but I don't know. Really not much information in the episode . . . the patient went into the clinic with an infection in his arm and was in the hospital with an MDS diagnosis by the end of the day. Did mention probable transformation to AML. No mention of BMB . . . guess things just have to move faster on TV

I did view that TV episode, but MDS being what it is to me - I nodded off and missed the ending! Oh well

I watched it. It kinda trailed off at the end and I assume since he was young, he was going to go forth with a BMT. I look at it this way, the more exposure we get, the better.
