Hello Everyone, i was diagnosed with MDS february last year 2011.i am low risk .i dont now a lot andjoinedjust to hear and share with others .I live in a small country town in australia and sometimes wish there wassomeoneicantalk to who has been diagnosed with MDS.i have beenhaving blood transfusions ever 4 weeks however since stopping a low dose of Prendisone i am going into my seventh week, without a transfusion.which im stoked about..I was told that the Prendisone can turn off the immune system??,has anone found this to be the case? I am so new,I research lots to try to understand it all, but hope to get a lot wiser, just reading all of your posts....I am really interested in alternative medicine, if anyone has any ideas...for example does ceasing drinking coffee really help??thanks for being there for me
