Has Anyone Met Their Donor?
It looks as if my donor wants to communicate openly w/ me after almost 6 years. I'm obviously very anxious to do so, and I have sent them a thank you note a few years ago after the 1 yr waiting period or whatever it is. So what is it like meeting your donor? Were they as you expected them to be? Is there an ongoing relationship? I'm sure many others besides myself are curious.

My husband's donor is from Poland so we haven't met in person, but have Skyped. They keep in touch via text on a pretty regular basis as well. It was a pretty overwhelming experience for both sides. Thanking the person that gave you a second chance at life is an indescribable opportunity. I think it also really helped her (the donor) understand the magnitude of what she did.

Donors are unknown in australia. Id love to be able to thank the person with a letter. Probably wouldnt do it in person to be honest.
