Anyone have any encouraging news after a relapse?
Hi all,
Mum had her SCT just under a year ago. Whilst the last few months have been terrific, she has been having a relapse and as of 4 weeks ago, her bloods have been dropping dramatically. Just wondering if anyone has any success after relapse? Thanks |

I don't have any experience to share with you but I'm sorry your mom is relapsing.

Yes, I have two wonderful friends who both relapsed after about a year. Before the relapse, their first transplant was going so well, just like your Mother's. They had no GVHD.
After the relapse, they both did a second transplant (cord blood), and a year later both are healthy, one is even back working as a chef! Hope this helps. Meri
