tooth pain

Hi all. I have just started azacitidine/Vidaza this week. At the beginning of my second day I experienced pain in my teeth, making chewing a challenge. I can skip carrots and nuts, but softened cereal? Has anyone experienced this side effect?

I have experienced tooth sensitivity with Vidaza, too. It sounds weird but rinsing with Listerine once or twice a day for a few days seemed to help. This was pre-transplant. Post transplant, I'm doing a year of prophylactic Vidaza and have not had the tooth pain, maybe because of my different immune system. My joint stiffness is less, too, but my overall fatigue is a little worse - maybe due to the transplant. It seems to react a little differently with everyone!

Interesting that you mentioned this, I had tooth pain too like all my teeth were achey as if the sinuSes were infected. This only happened on the first day or two of each cycle.

Regards
